The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has exceeded 27,100 since the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out on Oct 7, 2023, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said Friday, Reuters reports.
In a press statement, the ministry said that Israeli forces killed 112 Palestinians and wounded 148 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 27,131 and injuries to 66,287.
Israeli artillery shelling has continued on the neighborhood near the Al-Amal Hospital and the vicinity of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in southern Gaza's Khan Younis, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has withdrawn from wide areas in the northern Gaza Strip for the first time since the start of the ground operation, eyewitnesses said on Thursday.
