Ahead of the February 7 presidential election in Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev published the pre-election program, presenting foreign policy goals for 2024-2031.
Among them is the conclusion of a peace treaty. According to the report, Baku wants to sign an agreement with Armenia based on the 5 main principles it has put forward. It is noted that Azerbaijan is ready to establish stable peace in the South Caucasus.
The following points are also highlighted: strengthening of bilateral relations with neighboring countries, formation of Azerbaijan's non-conflict agenda, strengthening of Azerbaijan's position on international platforms, protection from geopolitical threats, expansion of the range of strategic partners, strengthening of Azerbaijan's role as a transport-logistics center.
