The President of the Russian Federation met with students who participated in the war in Ukraine in St. Petersburg. Vladimir Putin once again repeated that Russia started military operations to protect its interests. "Moscow is doing everything right. We will achieve our goals," the head of the Kremlin insisted.
According to him, there are more than 600 thousand people from the Russian side in the conflict zone. "There is slow progress in the south, in the north, in all directions, the counterattacks are pushed back," Putin added.
The Russian President referred to the recent destruction of Il-76, which, according to the Russian side, was transporting Ukrainian prisoners. He blamed Kyiv for shooting down the plane.
