Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov stated that the relations between France and Azerbaijan are at the lowest level. According to him, there are "open statements and threats" against his country from Paris.
"I can say with all responsibility that France is the main country behind the systematic work against our country on various platforms. Azerbaijan will adequately respond to it. We are not such a country to leave it unanswered. As I already mentioned, France was the first to take steps against our country. When he realizes his mistake and takes alternative steps, then we will respond in an appropriate way," said the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister.
He also referred to the expulsion of his country from PACE, noted that the official Baku strongly condemns the allegedly biased decision of PACE against Azerbaijan.
According to Bayramov, the reason for such a position of PACE is "Azerbaijan's restoration of its sovereignty and territorial integrity".
According to Bayramov, Baku's aggression towards Nagorno-Karabakh was in accordance with the constitution of Azerbaijan and international law.
