At the beginning of January, Armenia forwarded another set of proposals regarding the peace treaty to Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov announced. He added that their answer will probably be sent to Yerevan in the coming weeks.
"As you know, the negotiations on the peace treaty are conducted through direct meetings," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said in a conversation with journalists, expressing hope that direct contacts will continue in 2024.
He referred to the minefield maps transferred by Yerevan to Baku a few days ago, accusing Armenia of "misrepresenting" the issue.
"Armenia previously completely denied the existence of mine maps. The minefield maps provided to us later were completely useless. The claims that Armenia does not know the location of mines that it has placed are absurd," Bayramov said.
