Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the new Ambassador of Belgium to Armenia, Eric De Muynck, the press service of the Government of Armenia reports.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his assumption of office, the Deputy PM emphasized the importance of the decision to open a Belgian resident embassy in Armenia from the point of view of the development of Armenian-Belgian bilateral relations. Also, Grigoryan noted that there is a great potential for cooperation between the two countries and joint efforts should be made to identify and realize this potential.
During the meeting, the deputy premier presented to the Belgian ambassador the logic and main principles of the Crossroads of Peace project by the Armenian Government.
In addition, the interlocutors discussed Armenia-European Union (EU) relations. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stressed the importance of full implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.
