Speaking at the plenary session of the PACE, Ingjerd Schie Schou, member of the delegation of the Norwegian Parliament to the PACE, rapporteur on Azerbaijan, emphasized that the membership of the Council of Europe entails obligations that must be respected.
"My colleague Mr. Jensen presented all the reasons why the powers of the Azerbaijani delegation should not be ratified. The delegation may be deprived of the right to participate in PACE activities until January 2025. And after that, we will again be happy to accept the powers presented by the delegation of Azerbaijan. Membership of the Council of Europe entails obligations that must be respected," she said.
