French Senator Valérie Boyer gave a speech in the French Senate. She spoke about the Armenian Genocide that took place in the Ottoman Empire and reminded that inside the walls of the Senate and in the press she repeatedly called to help Armenia and prevent another military aggression of Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh, but they were ignored.
Boyer recalled Ursula von der Leyen's visit to Baku in July 2022, which she considered a disgrace for Europe. The senator emphasized that Europe's silence and the gas contract with Aliyev allowed him to unleash aggression against Armenia in September 2022, and then blockade and new aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Ilham Aliyev is a dictator who never hid his genocidal plans against Armenians," said the Senator.
Addressing French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné, who was present at the Senate hearings,Valérie Boyer reminded about Anahit Apetyan, an Armenian soldier who was brutally killed by the Azerbaijani military. She also listed all the former leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh, who are currently in prison in Baku.
