There is no clause about the 'Zangezur Corridor' in the treaty and there cannot be, Armenia's Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan told journalists.
"We said yes, we understand that Azerbaijan wants a way to move from one part of its country to another, we said that we are ready to open all the roads for them, we said that maybe there could be some kind of eased process so they can move, but there is nothing extraterritorial," Simonyan said.
As for the direct negotiations with Azerbaijan, the Speaker of the National Assembly said: "I do not rule out that direct negotiations can also find a place, because we had a positive example of direct negotiations, but of course, the fixation of the international community is also important. For example, the return of 32 captives was the result of direct conversation, which is not a bad example, but, again, let's not make the case that one excludes the other. One does not exclude the other, but one can also help the other."
