Any assessment of the regression, progress or stagnation of the peace process given by the official representatives of Yerevan is the absolute prerogative of the sovereign state. They have the unconditional right to make their own assessments. Maria Zakharova, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this at the weekly briefing.
According to her, Moscow paid attention to the statements of Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of Armenia's National Assembly, that the negotiation platforms of Washington and Brussels "have an international reputation, and this increases their legitimacy".
"The non-alternative road map for establishing a truly stable peace in the South Caucasus is the complex of trilateral agreements between Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan. Washington and Brussels either simply copied them or reinterpreted them to suit their opportunistic interests. What legitimacy of such false mediators can we talk about?" said Zakharova.
