The logic of the economic development of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union speaks in favor of integration, Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the Russian President, announced this.
According to him, this integration is important and useful when it is "truly based not on the dominance of someone, but on mutually beneficial types of cooperation. It is in the interest of the people of all countries."
According to him, the countries that are EAEU members become stronger and protected from the risks of the international economic situation thanks to the interaction within the association.
On December 25, speaking at the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin pointed out the growth of the economies of the member states of the union, called the EAEU an established, prestigious international association. The head of Russia also said that the volume of mutual trade in the union has almost doubled in 10 years, from 1.6 trillion dollars to 2.5 trillion, the share of national currencies in trade has exceeded 90 percent, and, according to him, it will only increase in the future.
