The peace treaty with Armenia will not resolve everything 100 percent. This was stated by the minister of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, in an interview on Azerbaijan television, Azerbaijani media reports.
"The [peace] process does not depend on the wishes of one party. It is important that both parties take corresponding steps here. After the restoration of full sovereignty of Azerbaijan, we are closely following the messages of the political leadership of Armenia. Also, we hear some positive responses," Bayramov said.
The Azerbaijani FM informed that his country had received Armenia’s next package of proposals for the peace treaty in November.
"The package of proposals, which we have developed within a month, has been submitted to Armenia. The process continues. I believe that the [respective] meetings will take place in 2024. We are looking at that matter realistically and optimistically. At the same time, when we talk about the peace agreement, we must understand that it will not resolve everything 100 percent," Bayramov said.
