Armenia's trade turnover with Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries has surged by 41%, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said on Monday.
"We assume that this trend will continue into the next years," Kerobyan said at an extraordinary meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Issues.
According to him, the Armenian government is taking steps to diversify foreign economic activities, in particular, to activate trade turnover in other, no less important directions.
According to the National Statistical Committee, Armenia's trade turnover with the EEU members in January-October 2023 amounted to $5.7 billion, increasing by 41% from the same period of 2022. Exports of products from Armenia exceeded $3 bln (66.1% growth).
The Eurasian Economic Union comprises also Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
