Conflicts in Ukraine and in the Middle East will again become the key topics of the European Union foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels, the last one in this year, TASS reports.
High Representative of the EU for foreign affairs Josep Borrell intends to urge ministers to support Kyiv amid the difficult situation on the frontline and refusal of the US Senate to give help to Ukraine, a high-ranking EU spokesperson told reporters the day before. As regards the conflict between Israel and Hamas, ministers are also expected to discuss developments after the restart of fighting in the Gaza Strip.
On the eve of the EU Council session, EU foreign ministers will have a working breakfast with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and a working dinner with Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the former presidential candidate of Belarus.
