The federal Government of Germany highly appreciated the steps taken by the leaders of the two states aimed at normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. Government representative Steffen Hebestreit wrote on his X page.
"Germany congratulates Armenia and Azerbaijan on taking courageous steps and building confidence! We stand ready to support further normalization process based on mutual recognition of sovereignty, inviolability of borders and territorial integrity," Steffen Hebestreit tweeted.
