The Ministry of Economy informs that Deputy Minister Narek Teryan met Iran's Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mehdi Zeighami during his visit to Tehran. The meeting was also attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iran Arsen Avagyan and the Trade Attaché of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iran Vardan Kostanyan.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the development of bilateral trade and economic relations and discussed the ways, thanks to which it will be possible to increase the trade turnover to $3 billion.
Among the topics discussed were issues related to the opening of a trade center for Iranian goods in Armenia.
As part of the visit, Narek Teryan also met with Alireza Asgarian, Deputy Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare for Economic and Social Affairs.
During the meeting, issues related to the establishment of joint productions, as well as the progress of previously reached agreements, were discussed.
