On December 5 Armenia's Ambassador to US Lilit Makunts had a meeting with US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Rhode Island).
The Ambassador thanked the Senator for spearheading and co-sponsoring letters and legislative initiatives on the issues of importance to Armenia.
Matters relating to regional security, peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, humanitarian assistance to people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia-US bilateral cooperation were discussed in the course of the meeting.
