We welcome the meeting of the border delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan, held on November 30, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to her, Moscow is ready to support the delimitation process in every possible way. "It implies the provision of necessary cartographic materials. This was confirmed yesterday by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart.
As for the tripartite border delimitation commission co-chaired by the deputy prime ministers, significant progress has been made within its framework. And in the presence of the political will of both parties, the agreement on specific projects could be promptly completed and substantive activities started," said the Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Zakharova said that delaying the implementation of these agreements is against the interests of the countries of the region, including Armenia.
Referring to the peace treaty, she noted that the parties were invited to a meeting in Moscow, as well as in third countries within the framework of multilateral formats. "Baku has always confirmed its willingness to hold negotiations. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about our Armenian partners. Maybe they think that their new advisers from Washington, Brussels and Paris can offer something better, more interesting and more effective. I think we should look at the previous experience and the experience of our neighbors," said Zakharova.
According to her, the West has never acted in accordance with the interests of the peoples of other countries, and the Armenian people should know this.
