During the NATO-Georgia commission meeting in Brussels, Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, discussed the significance of NATO sharing the recent strategies of the European Union, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
Shalva Papuashvili spoke about Georgia’s ability to ensure security in a highly complex security environment while concurrently contributing to international security, including providing support to Ukraine.
“Against the backdrop of our European Union integration progress, it is vital that NATO align with the recent approaches of the European Union, where we are provided with clear expectations through recommendations, followed by appropriate decisions upon progress in their implementation.
It is of utmost importance that NATO embraces these approaches and effectively communicates precise criteria and expectations, thereby ensuring that decisions from NATO will be made once progress is achieved on these issues,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
