Yerevan and Tehran will sign a memorandum on cooperation that will allow the Armenian side to use Iranian seaports, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy said.
It said an accord to sign the memo was reached during a meeting of the Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy with the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
The Iranian side expressed readiness to provide Armenian companies with favorable conditions for the use of Iranian ports.
The sides also discussed Armenian-Iranian relations, particularly issues related to the cargo transportation between the two countries.
The sides stressed that Armenia can become a transit country for Iran to the EEU and European countries, while Iran can become a transit country for Armenia to the countries of the Persian Gulf, Central Asia and India.
