Russia may use the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter if American F-16s appear in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by military observer Maya Karlin in an article for The National Interest.
“Once Ukraine starts using F-16s, which are expected to be delivered in the coming months, Russia will most likely respond with its Su-57s,” the text says.
Carlin emphasized that the Russian aircraft has an advantage over the F-16 because it can synchronize with ground-based radars.
Earlier, the Military Watch portal reported that the Su-57 fighter with mini-drones on board will become a unique combat aircraft in the world.
