The European Union's Special Envoy for Sanctions, David O'Sullivan, will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on Tuesday, November 28. This was reported by the press service of the EU delegation to the republic, TASS reports.
"On November 28, 2023, the EU's international special envoy for sanctions, David O'Sullivan, will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan, during which a number of meetings with Kazakh officials are planned," the message reads.
It is expected that on the same day the special envoy will hold a press conference for journalists following the results of his visit.
The press service also recalled that the European Commission has established the post of the EU's international special envoy on sanctions in order to ensure continuous high-level discussions with third countries in order to avoid evasion or circumvention of restrictive measures imposed on Russia since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine.
