Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reacting to the process of granting Armenia's citizenship to those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, responding to the concern that the lack of citizenship becomes an obstacle to getting a position in public services, said:
"We had a discussion, I gave a recommendation that the issue of citizenship of our brothers and sisters should be resolved as soon as possible. We can give special treatment to forcibly displaced people who have already applied for positions in the public service, because in other cases there is no need for citizenship."
The Prime Minister expressed hope that these data will be able to be collected quickly.
"I will instruct - those citizens who have applied for employment in public services, and the obstacle is citizenship - that their cases be discussed and resolved more quickly. I also order that the cases of our brothers and sisters who applied for employment in public services be resolved quickly," he said.
