Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the process of signing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, said:
"As of now, it is not obvious and clear whether Azerbaijan will ultimately reaffirm the conclusion of a peace agreement with Armenia based on three principles. They are agreed during negotiations. We cannot say with certainty that Azerbaijan refuses to sign an agreement, but we also cannot say with certainty that it reaffirms its commitment to those three principles. There is a need to clarify these issues during the negotiations."
Pashinyan mentioned that such a discussion, at least regarding maps and borders, is planned in the near future. On November 30, there will be such a discussion in the format of the work of the demarcation commission.
"We will draw conclusions from those discussions and, if there are other negotiations, whether Azerbaijan is ready to go to peace based on those principles or refuses. The fact is that until now we have no confidence, although he has declared that he recognizes the territorial integrity of Armenia, but we need to specify what he means by that. This clarification is the main issue of the upcoming negotiation processes," said the Prime Minister.
