Armenian Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan met on Wednesday with EU resident and non-resident ambassadors accredited in Armenia, the government press office reported.
It said the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Ambassador Vasilis Maragos was also in attendance.
Khachatryan was said to speak about the measures implemented by the government to meet the priority needs of the people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
He emphasized the importance of creating conditions for them to generate their own income through work. He also spoke about their housing needs stressing the necessity of the EU countries' support for this.
Grigoryan for his turn spoke about the possible challenges that await Armenia in the context of different scenarios of possible regional developments, the ways of overcoming them. He also touched upon the Armenia -EU relations.
In particular, he highlighted the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the necessity of the effective implementation of the joint programs elaborated within the framework of the EU Economic and Investment Plan.
Grigoryan also reaffirmed Armenia's desire and readiness to establish a stable and lasting peace in the region. The meeting continued in the format of questions and answers.
