Development of bilateral relations and regional issues were touched upon at a meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and British Minister of State for Europe and North America Leo Docherty on Wednesday.
Touching upon the situation in the region, Aliyev said: "There are no obstacles to the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, our country supports the regional peace agenda and Azerbaijan is ready for dialogue with Armenia to conclude a peace treaty and normalize relations between the two countries".
In response, Docherty said that the UK is ready to support this process.
