Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, on Friday received a delegation led by Miroslav Jenca, Unite Nations (UN) Assistant Secretary-General for Europe, Central Asia and the Americas at the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs - Department of Peace Operations.
Grigoryan presented to his interlocutors the current humanitarian situation after the large-scale military attack unleashed by Azerbaijan against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19 and the measures being taken by the Armenian government in order to overcome this situation, the Office of the Security Council of Armenia reports.
In this context, the Security Council chief emphasized the collaboration between the respective UN organizations and the Armenian government.
At the meeting, the parties discussed as well as the negotiation process of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, within the framework of which Grigoryan presented Armenia's approaches and views.
