The United States continues to support the peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Matthew Miller, Spokesperson of the US Department of State, stated this during Thursday’s Department press
briefing, commenting on Azerbaijan's refusal to participate in the meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"We continue to support peace talks to resolve the issues between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We would encourage the two parties to engage in those talks, whether they are here, whether they are someone else, whether they are somewhere else, and that’ll be, continue to be our policy," Miller said.
Azerbaijan has declined to attend the meeting, which was supposed to take place on November 20 in Washington D.C., at the level of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
