The U.S. Senate has adopted S.3000, the Armenian Protection Act of 2023, passed Senate with an amendment by voice vote, a bill introduced by Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), Armenian Assembly of America reports. “It would suspend all military aid to Azerbaijan”, the AAA said in a post on X.
The bill is to repeal Freedom Support Act section 907 waiver authority with respect to assistance to Azerbaijan. It will be introduced in the House of Representatives, then, if passed, presented to the President of USA to become a law.
