Turkey has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, filing a lawsuit to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This was stated by the lawyer of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey, Metin Kulunk, Top War reports.
According to the lawyer, the lawsuit was filed with the ICC on behalf of Turkish citizens demanding that the Israeli prime minister be held criminally responsible for genocide in the Gaza Strip. The Turks also called Netanyahu the Hitler of the 21st century and accused him of crimes against humanity. The document contains 23 pages, it was submitted to the Turkish Ministry of Justice, from where it will be forwarded directly to the ICC.
"Today, representing the conscience of the citizens of the Republic of Turkey, we filed a lawsuit at the International Criminal Court in The Hague against the Hitler of the XNUMXst century - Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who must stand trial for the genocide he committed in the Gaza Strip and all crimes against humanity," said Kulunk.
Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu no longer exists for him, and Turkey will take all necessary measures to declare Israel a war criminal for the murder of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
Ankara has repeatedly called on Tel Aviv to stop the bombing of the Gaza Strip, offering itself as a mediator for negotiations between Israel and the Hamas movement. According to the latest data, due to IDF strikes, more than 11 thousand civilians in the Gaza Strip have been killed to date, including 4 thousand children. About 29 thousand more people were injured.
