Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan is in Japan to attend the meeting of the participants of the countries taking part in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and to discuss several matters related to bilateral cooperation.
As part of the visit, Vahan Kerobyan on Monday met with executive director Kyoichi Suzuki and member Mizuki Chuman of the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and Newly Independent States (ROTOBO), the Ministry of Economy of Armenia reports.
ROTOBO is the largest organization whose activities are aimed at promoting the development of business cooperation between Japanese enterprises and the former socialist states of Eurasia.
During the meeting, a number of matters related to equipment construction and mechanical engineering were discussed, as well as the possibilities of cooperation in this regard.
Presenting the "dry port" project of Armenia’s Gyumri city, Kerobyan proposed the Japanese side to consider the possibility of engaging Japanese companies in this project.
Also, the minister of economy presented the favorable conditions created in Armenia for the establishment of innovative R&D offices.
