Anahit Manasyan, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, on Monday received Swiss Ambassador Lukas Rosenkranz, the Human Rights Defender’s Office reports.
The Ombudsperson briefed the diplomat on a number of matters related to the protection of the rights of forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, reflected on the respective problems and needs, as well as the fact-finding activities carried out by her and her staff.
Manasyan stressed that the protection of the rights of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh is one of the priorities of her work.
The fact-finding activities are ongoing, and their final results will be summed up and presented to the Armenian authorities and international actors.
During the meeting, Manasyan spoke also about the priorities of the activities o the Human Rights Defender’s Office of Armenia.
Ambassador Rosenkranz, in turn, thanked the ombudsperson for the reception and productive discussion.
