The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) has described Armenia as a new epicenter of significantly growing democracy in Europe.
In an interview with Euronews, Seema Shah, Head of International IDEA's Democracy Assessment (DA) Unit, said Armenia is now among the countries that have experienced a significant growth in democracy.
“Particularly, in terms of the exercise of the right to freedom of speech, a decline is seen all over the world, whereas in Armenia, Moldova and Slovenia a significant growth has been recorded in this regard,” Shah said.
