Armenia has never promised anything, Armenia has declared that it is ready for border delimitation and demarcation with the maps of 1974-1975, and, for example, according to those maps, in the same Tavush province, we have 7-8 villages the arable lands of which are completely under the control of Azerbaijan, 'Civil Contract' faction MP Gevorg Papoyan said about it, referring to the statements made by Azerbaijan about 8 villages during a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly.
"If you look at the border on the map, it is zigzag, the real border is straighter. Now, one of the options may be that the border may remain as it is in that part, the other option may be that some arable lands that belonged to our villages should, of course, pass to Armenia again. As a result of that process, the territory of Armenia should be 29,800 square kilometers. The issue of enclaves should naturally be reflected in peace treaty," said Gevorg Papoyan.
He emphasized that one of the most important provisions of the peace treaty is to record the territorial integrity of Armenia, the area of 29,800 square kilometers, the unblocking of roads, and lasting peace. "In this context, there should be no clauses in the peace treaty that could contain bombs. There should be such an agreement that does not cause other problems and the possibility of a new war," said the deputy, expressing his belief that this is the reason for the prolongation of the process.
