At the moment, I do not consider cargo transportation through the territory of Azerbaijan to be realistic, but after the conclusion of the peace treaty, the main transportation will be through the territory of Azerbaijan. Gevorg Papoyan, deputy of the 'Civil Contract' faction, said this during a briefing at the Parliament.
"The road through there is shorter, it is more convenient, and in the past, in the times of the Soviet Union, that road worked, and I am sure that it will work, and the competitiveness of products of Armenian origin will increase in the Russian Federation, because the road is shorter, the risks are less and so on and so forth. It is not realistic without a peace treaty," he said.
