The IDF navy also attacked Hamas command posts. In addition, Israeli fighter jets launched strikes on a series of targets including tunnels, observation posts and anti-tank missile launch posts.
The Palestinian health ministry accused Israel of bombing a building of Gaza's largest medical facility -- Shifa Hospital on Monday. The attack destroyed the hospital's solar panels, and killed one person with many others injured, according to the ministry.
The building was reportedly sheltering 170 injured people and hundreds of evacuees. However, an IDF spokesman denied such statement and claimed that the Shifa Hospital has been used as a "terrorists hideout".
