Chairman of the Russian Peace Fund Board, head of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party, member of the State Duma Leonid Slutsky announced that the families of the Russian peacekeepers killed in Nagorno-Karabakh will receive 1 million rubles of aid from the fund.
"We are obliged to support their families. A month has passed since the tragedy, but we cannot let it be forgotten," said Slutsky.
On September 19, during the aggression started by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, 6 Russian peacekeepers, including the deputy commander of the military personnel, were killed near the village of Chankatagh as a result of firing by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
