German Foreign Minister Annalena Bаerbock met with the President of Azerbaijan in Baku. Ilham Aliyev stated that his country is in favor of signing a peace treaty with Armenia.
He once again stated that as a result of the aggression unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan has restored its sovereignty and supports the normalization of relations and the agenda of establishing peace in the region. Aliyev also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the countries of the region.
Bаerbock also noted that Berlin supports the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the signing of a peace treaty and the Brussels platform for negotiations.
