We are interested in having at least an orderly relationship with our 4 neighbors. Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this during the discussion of the 2024 budget of the Foreign Ministry at the joint session of the National Assembly's standing committees, and then emphasized that when talking about neighbors, one should also talk about friends with whom Armenia has close cooperation - Georgia and Iran.
"We really enjoy close friendly relations with these countries. We have plans, a number of plans are in progress, they have been implemented, a number of plans are being discussed at the moment, and in case of successful progress, we will also inform the public. But at this moment, I should say that it is a landmark for us to develop our already very good friendly relations with these two friends and neighbors of ours," said Mirzoyan.
The minister emphasized that there is multi-sector cooperation with France as well, and as for the EU, Armenia will continue to deepen relations in that direction as well.
"I would like to emphasize the role of the EU mission in the border stability and security of Armenia until now.
I want to remind you that we are discovering so-called new platforms, new directions of cooperation with the EU, for example, the political and security dialogue," said the minister and reminded that there are agreements and commitments that must be implemented both in Armenia and by the EU, and highlighted the issue of visa liberalization in this context.
Mirzoyan also informed that Armenia will continue to develop relations with the USA as well.
