Through the EU's monitoring mission, we are trying to provide concrete support to Armenia in achieving stability and trust through our presence and people-to-people contacts. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, during a joint press conference at Armenia's Foreign Ministry.
"For credible peace talks, we as the Federal Government would like to emphasize once again that we want to strengthen the activities of the EU mission, and within the framework of the EU we would like to see that this mission is expanded," she said.
According to Foreign Minister Baerbock, Germany will continue its support in the implementation of the mission. She also considered it important to record that the EU is an unbiased mediator in Armenia, given this mission.
"Also, this mission should be beneficial for Azerbaijan," Baerbock said.
