Reuters. French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Uzbekistan on Wednesday evening (November 1) which will mark the end of the French leader’s tour to the countries of the Central Asia.
Macron's visit to Uzbekistan is the first trip by a French leader to the country in almost 30 years since the France's Francois Mitterrand's visit in 1994. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited France twice since taking office in 2016.
In November 2022, during Mirziyoyev’s visit in Paris, over two dozen cooperation agreements in the field of renewable energy, urban management and transport were signed between the two countries.
