US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien participated in the launch ceremony of the patrol police service in Syunik on October 28, The US Embassy to Armenia reports.
In her remarks, the Ambassador underscored the importance of police reform that fosters a culture of accountability and transparency, and reaffirmed U.S. support for Armenia’s territorial integrity.
“We firmly believe that strong, accountable, and just law enforcement institutions serve as the bedrock of any nation, and I commend the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the leadership they have shown throughout the reform process,” the Ambassador said.
