Reuters. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Wednesday (October 25) that an Israeli ground operation into Gaza would turn the fighting there into a massacre.
In a joint news conference with his Qatari counterpart in Doha, Fidan said that those supporting Israel's actions under the pretence of solidarity are "accomplices to its crimes".
Turkey supports Palestinians, backs a two-state solution to the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and hosts members of militant group Hamas.
Ankara has toughened its stance against Israel as fighting and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has intensified.
