During a last week visit to China Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan had a meeting with representatives of BYD Auto Industry in Shenzhen, and presented the investment policy of Armenia and the benefits offered to foreign investors.
The press office of the Economy Ministry said the sides discussed BYD Auto Industry Company’s activity, as well as a number of issues related to the solar energy and creation of innovative R&D offices.
The Chinese side promised to visit Armenia at the end of October to look into cooperation opportunities.
BYD, a high-tech company founded in 1995, has established more than 30 industrial parks on 6 continents and has played a significant role in industries related to electronics, automobile, renewable energy and railway transportation. Listed on the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, the company's turnover exceeds RMB200 billion.
