Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met on the sidelines of the Council of the Heads of CIS countries underway in Bishkek, Kazinform Agency reports.
The leaders focused on a wide range of issues of the Kyrgyz-Tajik bilateral cooperation, including the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border delimitation and demarcation issues, shared views on regional and international agenda and forthcoming sitting of the Council of the Heads of CIS countries.
The presidents stressed the importance of regular political dialogue for strengthening good neighbourly relations between the two states and people, expressing readiness for open dialogue in all directions of bilateral cooperation.
As earlier reported, the regular sitting of the Council of the Heads of CIS countries is expected to start its work today in Bishkek.
