Russia is still an important mediator for the final process of settlement of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, it would be logical if it happened on the Russian platform, and Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his readiness to provide it, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"You heard the [Russian] president's words; we [Russia] are ready to provide our platform. The president said about our readiness to first organize such a ministerial ‘marathon,’ if necessary, to achieve results not in one day, but in several days. Moscow is still a very important mediator for the resolution of the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Of course it would be logical if all of this was on the Russian platform one way or another, but the choice is, of course, Baku’s and Yerevan’s. Baku has a very constructive position on this matter, Yerevan has not yet fully decided; we are waiting for a response," said Peskov.
