Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview with RBC that after the action taken by Azerbaijan on September 19 and the subsequent decision of self-dissolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the conflict situation between Baku and Yerevan has not yet been put to an end. And here, according to him, the complex of trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia remains relevant.
It refers to reaching agreements on important components, such as the unblocking of transport communications and economic ties between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the delimitation of the border with its further demarcation, the signing of a peace treaty and the establishment of contacts between public figures, expert communities, parliamentarians of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"All these should lead to mutually acceptable terms of settlement, which will be fixed in the future agreement," said Galuzin and emphasized that the Russian side has always been and remains faithful to the alliance and strategic partnership with Armenia, to the existing agreements.
"The basis for us is the need to preserve and strengthen the centuries-old close ties between the Russian and Armenian peoples, which have given a lot to the two peoples and the two countries for their development," said the Russian diplomat.
