Georgia's possible participation in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan is "the most correct choice", stated the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who is on a working visit to Georgia, commenting that both historical ties and geographical factors should be taken into account in this matter.
"We expect the same from Armenia. And if the Armenian side agrees, we will immediately start the bilateral and trilateral meetings here in Georgia with the involvement of relevant agencies," Aliyev said.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili reaffirmed his support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and once again expressed his willingness to join the peace process. According to Garibashvili, the leaders of the two countries also discussed the "development of the middle corridor".
