The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Mehrdad Bazrpash, is on a two-day visit to Azerbaijan to implement the projects approved at the session of the Iran-Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation Commission held in July this year. He was met by the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev.
The officials had a private meeting, discussed issues related to bilateral relations, transport infrastructures and the regional situation. Mehrdad Bazrpash noted that the relations between the two countries are returning to normal thanks to the many meetings of the joint economic commission of Iran and Azerbaijan.
The laying ceremony of highway and railway bridges took place on the Aghband-Kalaleh border with the participation of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran and the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan. Up to 1,100 vehicles can pass through the highway bridge per day.
