The delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Russia will visit Yerevan on Friday to discuss the date of withdrawal of Russian peacekeeping troops from Nagorno-Karabakh, TASS reports.
Russian peacekeeping troops were deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh based on the ceasefire statement signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on November 9, 2020. The period of deployment of the Russian peacekeeping troops was set for a period of five years from the moment of signing the agreement, with automatic extension for the next five years, if none of the parties to the agreement announces its intention to stop the application of this provision 6 months before the end of the period.
